Perfect Day or Night
The r-retinoate is gentle and non-irritating to my skin, so day and night use is easy. It helped unclog pores in a few weeks, dissolving all kinds of stuff and leaving my skin almost bump-free. Many of those bumps I thought were zits were actually clogged pores from years of not cleansing my skin at night and sleeping in my makeup and SPF. Horrors, I know better now and actually double-cleanse at night. My skin is clearer and fine lines and wrinkles are much less noticeable. Caveat, you might want to use this 2-3 times a week at night to get used to the active ingredients. Add a few drops of your favorite night oil or cream after 45 minutes, when the serum has penetrated, or mix the oil or night cream with one pump of the serum if you have any irritation on first use. Must use SPF 30 or more during daytime or you’ll actually make your skin worse and waste all the money you spent on this great serum!

Nice but results may vary
This was an interesting serum. Its main ingredient (Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate) is essentially a form of Vitamin C that is fat soluble and penetrates well into your skin and acts as an antioxidant. This is not a cheap bottle of emollients like a lot of pricey moisturizers are- it’s effective but actually quite mild. You still have to wear sunblock big time with it, and I feel like with every product like this, you are going to be using it for a while before you see the solid results. Some do not like to use products with BHT in it, and this does have it on the ingredient list. It’s a preservative/stabilizer.My problem was that it has a lot of moisture barrier ingredients that made it feel heavy so I could only wear it at night. It did eventually absorb, but not something I wanted to wear during the day because I prefer watery gels and serums. I did notice my skin definitely felt softer, but it did not do much for my pores. For me it’s not a miracle cult item I will tell you to go buy right now, but if it’s within your budget, it’s not a bad product.Full ingredient list: Water, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Heptyl Undecylenate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Methylpropanediol, Polylactic Acid, Cetearyl Olivate, Sodium Polyacryloyldimethyl Taurate, Cetearyl Isononanoate, Distarch Phosphate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Sorbitan Olivate, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Glycerin, Caprylyl Glycol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Cholesteryl Nonanoate, Disodium EDTA, Hydroxyacetophenone, Canola Oil, Retinyl Retinoate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Phenylpropanol, Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Extract, 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid, Sodium Metabisulfite, BHT, Sodium Hydroxide, Trideceth-10.

Premium Product Performs Well
Medik8 r-Retinoate Day & Night Serum is a ground-breaking serum that increases collagen production and wrinkle repair. Meant to be used both day and night, Medik8's newly developed serum is noted as being eight times more powerful than traditional Retinol. Until now, Retinol has been the "go to" product for skincare. This product may very well change that. This serum arrived quite beautifully packaged. It looks like a premium product the moment you open it. The bottle is only 1.7-ounces. Again, this is a more premium product that is far more concerned with performance than value pricing.Medik8 promises results within 4 weeks with day and night use. Results should include diminishing of fine lines, lessening of wrinkles, smoothing out of uneven skin texture, and brightening thanks to the addition of Vitamin C.Quite honestly, while I'm certainly older than the target market for this product I'm definitely seeing all of these results to a certain degree and look forward to seeing the result once I actually hit the one month mark.Medik8 is also formulated as vegan, cruelty free, and without parabens and phthalates. The serum is noted as being appropriate for sensitive skin. I definitely do have sensitive skin and have not had any issues with redness or skin integrity. There's surprisingly not a lot of razzle-dazzle here. Any scent is very light and this isn't the kind of serum that tingles or makes you have this full-on sensory experience that never really does anything. Instead, this is an advanced workhorse of a serum. It's simply a powerful serum for skincare that is working for me exactly as it promises. For those seeking a more premium skincare experience, Medik8 is groundbreaking and awesome.

Really great product!
This has seemed to help my skin in a very little amount of time. There is a slight scent, but it goes away quickly. My skin absorbs this well. The pump dispenses the product easily too. I use about two pumps every time I put this on. The bottle is about the size of my hand. I do feel like this is incredibly overpriced though.
