The Shield - Season 3 [DVD] [2007]

Very intense series, excellent storyline

Vic Mackey continues to enthral in this superfast, supercharged cop show. There's no question, the Yanks really know how to do these things. Since they discovered that characters do not have to wear white hats and black hats, and that what we love to see are characters in infinite shades of grey (pace Sopranos, The Wire) there really is no beating them at this game. Superb script, superlative acting and unbeatable viewing.

If you've followed the series so far you'll know the various story strands that are involved so far. These strands become frayed even further with every character now seeming to have some secret or other to hide or ulterior motive to conceal. The main story arc follows the fallout from the Armenian money train robbery. This series gets better and better.

season 3....what can i say....without doubt the finest programme i have ever witnessed.it takes you on such an adrenalin rush of ups and downs and near misses,at times it is like your in the car with vic and co.i just wonder how long they can keep getting the seasons better than the last???if you have never watched the shield,buy series 1, 2 and 3.then put your feet up and enjoy.

This series started me off on a shield experience which i am still living, the material is first class the acting marvellous and the quality of the dvd brilliant its all just too much. The script demands the most detailed attention, the lines and delivery of Vic is just great and watch out for the skullduerry its all too easy to lose the plot

If you have never seen the shield and like police dramas filmed in a fly on the wall style with a 'nitty gritty' feel then look no more.The first time seeing this had me on the edge of my seat, I have watched the who series several time over. This show is N all time favourite
