Really like this candles kit love it its got everything you need and the wax is pretty good only thing is this kit is for small candle because the melting put is very small so its perfect with the little candle jar that comes with it really good if you just begin

The media could not be loaded. I am absolutely amazed by this product, I could not believe all of the amazing quality tools that were provided to me in this package. It came with a booklet with instructions, what I love the most is that the instructions were actual pictures rather than animations. Fun, making candles with my kids. Very unique gift idea and a very unique way to spend time with your kids or even just as a hobby. I will definitely be re-purchasing.

got this for a friend's birthday, she made a few candles already and was telling me how fun the kit is to use!

I made my very first candle using this kit, it was really easy following their manual.

I have made lip balm, lotion, body wash, and soap, but never candles, so why not.Note: I haven't actually tried to MAKE the candles yet - I am writing this review based on what I know I need to succeed at trying something new.Unboxing it looks like I have everything I could possibly need to make candles. The instruction book is easy to read, and has lots of photos, to make the process easier. The only thing you need to supply is a double boiler, paper towels, scissors, and a hair dryer (?). I don't have a true double boiler, but based on my previous crafting experience, a hot plate, a deep frypan with water, or a pyrex bowl in a larger sauce pan will work. You need something to heat the soy wax evenly, at a lower temperature - and NOT over direct flame.Reading through all of the directions - the hair dryer is helpful for cleaning - which was a question I had in the back of my mind, so again, this kit seems to explain everything.On to the supplies. You literally have everything you need. The little containers are cute and small, which isn't bad, because odds are, your first set of candles won't be perfect.- There are 8 different solid color melts you can add. That's basically one per candle tin, but that would mean cleaning between each individual candle, and that's...a lot.- Fragrances - you also receive 8 different scents to add to your candles. They are fairly standard - lavender, rose, vanilla, sandalwood, fresh linen, sweet tobacco, strawberry, and bubble gum. The last three are a little unique. I'm super curious about sweet tobacco, as I love cigars and pipes. I did open it and take a whiff, and it's pretty nice - like a sweet pipe, and might blend well with the vanilla if you wanted to soften it. I won't be opening the bubble gum - all I can think of is penicillin as a kid when I smell bubble gum.The extras - again, this kit comes with everything you could need to get started. It even includes a wick trimmer (who knew?). Finally, the package included a gift bag, or perhaps a carrying bag - I'm not sure. It's a heavy duty paper shopping style bag with handles.I am super excited to try this project. I was wise and didn't do what I usually do - oh, there are only 8 candle tins, I should order 24 more, despite not knowing if I will spill wax all over myself/my stove/my floors/my dogs, or who will even want one of my candles, nonetheless 32 of them. We'll see how this adventure goes and then get more supplies if I enjoy it, and anyone likes my candles!So, without actually making a candle, I say go for this. It is a great starter set!

Everything worked like it was suppose to. Not a strong scent. Worth the money for first time trying something new.

Love this kit, one thing that really stood out is the packaging, especially the tins, I don't know how many times I have ordered tins and they arrive scratched and dented even ones in other kits, these are in their own foam protection and they are really pretty. The warming container is of high quality and the scents are wonderful. I highly recommend this kit, it comes with a "manual" explaining what everything is and how to use it a very useful tool for beginners. It is a little pricey but well the price.
