Going cordless
Before making this purchase I already had a couple of corded angle grinders and after damaging the power cord on one of them while working in an enclosed area, I decided I needed at least one cordless grinder. Since I have other cordless Makita tools with batteries it made sense to buy another Makita product. The grinder is ok and using it wasn't a problem. I'm not sure it developed full power when my 5A battery was down to 2 bars but after re-charging fully, everything was as expected. So, a nice grinder and fully compatible with my corded Makita grinder so I even have a spare tool.

good value
I have put off buying this for years as have a 110v grinder. I only wish i had brought this sooner. Life is so much easier without cables. Only use it for small jobs which sure beats dragging out the transformer and extension lead. Product is everything you would expect from Makita
