Great! Worked out of the box and hit the max Mbs possible on my broadband.

Easy to use, power efficient dongle

It is pretty cheap and compact but works very well for its price tag. It does disconnct me from time to time, but I would've expected worse for something so affordable. Just pull it out and put it back in again. It feels great and is pretty quick to install on your pc. When thats done, you just plug it in.Though you should plug it in at the back of the pc where the fans are as this little thing can get a bit warm and that seems to mess with its connectivity. Thats what I understood after plugging it in my front port after it was in my back port. It then seems to get warm and was having a worse connection so I put it back in the back port where the fans cooled it and the connectivity improved.Another thing though, it is a very small usb. Great profile and not noticable, but difficult to pull out of the back of your pc as it is hard to grip. Which is why moved it to the front in the first place.Those complaining are honestly just whining. Again. It is super cheap. Be happy it works so well fo its price. Buy a more expensive 1 and go complain about how that 1 isn't perfect either.I will get an expensive more powerful 1 at some point but this 1 really goes beyond what I was expecting.

Worked very well using router WPS button once the panel popped up. Recently I had an account hacked, probably due to a Phishing website when connected by cable. So that Polish person is obviously in the UK somewhere. They will not be able to access my WIFI connection password if I have not logged on. I have installed an anti phishing extension too.Great solution because my PC is now connected to WIFI not by LAN cable

Works reliably well and the data speed is very good, but it is less than a metre from my router, so to be expected.I fitted it in a PC with a Linux Mint operating system and it worked straight off without any input from me.

I bought TP-link as they're a trusted, established brand expecting no false over bloated claims and nice straightforward usage: but no luck!For reference I'm very capable technically speaking. I've been building, configuring PCs since before Windows 95. We have 5 PCs and 3 laptops in my house. So I generally know what I'm doing.I could not get this to work. The supplied driver CD is of little use to 99% of users.However Windows does automatically recognise and install a driver for it (dated 2016 I believe) and it seems to work except it couldn't see my WiFi network. Every other device does including phones and tablets in this part of the house (which is close to the router, next room same floor).There's no specific link to this exact product on their website, it's just a general link to their homepage.Still it's not that hard to locate the drivers in the UK section even though they seemed pretty old (2018, 7 years old). Installed and it saw the WiFi but refused to connect. First time it said "cannot connect" and 2nd attempt crashed the computer.Then tried the US version of the drivers, newer, dated 2020 I believe. The installer locked up at 90%, just sat there even after 20 minutes it wouldn't proceed. Still you can easily point Windows to the driver files and it happily installs them. This saw the network, allowed me to connect but then reported there wasn't any internet available.Then I tried the International drivers which were newer, 2021 I believe. These saw the WiFi but refused to connect; the same issue as the UK driver.After more than an hour of faffing around (maybe 2 hours) it was all completely pointless.Why would they supply a CD in 2025? Why not a USB stick or memory card? Why a link to the homepage of their website and not this specific product? What was the point in sticking to a brand name if it's this much hassle?In addition the version number (critical for driver downloads) is not written on the device itself. There's lots of information printed on there but not this crucially important part! Thankfully it's on the sticker on the box so DO NOT THROW THIS AWAY! For reference this is Version 3 (V3.0) of the TL-WN725N(EU).

So far, so good! The WiFi card on my Early 2009 17" MacBook Pro broke a while ago. Bluetooth is still working though. I've just installed his little WiFi dongle (TL-WN725N) and so far it's working a treat! I used the driver for El Capitan which is supplied on the accompanying CD.I had been running a much more up-to-date MacOS (using OCLP) and had orignally thought that the lack of WiFi was an issue with OCLP ... I am assuming that the drivers for this WiFi dongle aren't going to work if/when I update. At that point I'll try to remember to return here and leave a 'ps' for those few Mac users who may be in the same situation. My guess is that I'll have to buy a replacement BT/WiFi card and install it.
