Excellent one cup machine.
Excellent for someone who can't lift a kettle when filled with water. This one cup machine is light and easy to use. It boils a cup of water quickly if a little noisy.Holds enough water for plenty of morning cups of tea.For someone with fibromyalgia a must.

Great single cup maker, replaced kettle entirely, a few design issues so loses one star
So overall really happy with this, it boils and dispenses a normal sized cup's worth of water in 20-30 seconds - way faster and cheaper than a normal kettle. I have my old kettle plugged in if I'm making like a 6+ cup round of brews, but for the usual two or three I just use this now.Energy wise, my kettle costs a few pence to boil - this costs 0.04p per cup based on a 22p per kWh tariff (fixed till May 23). My calculations this pays for itself in about 3 months as my kettle was a lot more expensive per boil.In essence this has made making brews much cheaper and way more convenient. I'll never go back to a normal kettle again! There are a few issues with it though.1> The power lead comes out of the side.....so, when this is on your worktop in order to see the water level indicator, and in order to lift the kettle off to refill it you have to have the kettle oriented in such a way that the power lead comes out sideways rather than at the back. Stupid design decision - why not just have another cut out so the lead can be re-routed?2> When filling it can leak. There's a little clip that holds the lid shut (it releases the lid when a button is pressed) but the clip is directly in line with where you fill the water - if the water hits the clips (and it does because it's central) then water runs into the clip, and out the back of the kettle. At first, I thought it was leaking from the reservoir, but it turns out it just leaks via the clip/button.3> It's noisy - it sounds like one of those really old coffee makers and makes a loud bang when it's finished. I quite like it but not everyone would I'm sure.Still silly design decisions aside I highly recommend.

Good, quick and light enough for older person with limited strength and mobility
Purchased this for my dad who is pushing 80 and struggled with lifting a full sized kettle even partially filled. Concerned about dropping boiling water when making his tea etc. This does the trick.it functions like a coffee pod machine e without the coffee pods. Put water in the tank press button and it quickly has exactly 1 cup of hot water coming out of the nozzle. Doesn't introduced any differences to the taste of the tea vs kettle so all good.It looks modern and is smaller than I thought it would be. The accessible components, not many, are easy enough to clean. Haven't had it long enough to tell about longevity but not sofar so good.

So far so good
I thought I would wait a while before leaving my review, but I'm pleasantly surprised to say its all fine. I've had no issues at all with any of the buttons, it boils up fine, is easy to use, and as easy to fill as a kettle. I don't have the strength to lift it (although my partner says its very easy to do so) but I can fill it with a small jug without any problems.I didn't find any wierd taste, and it's actually a lot hotter than my previous asda brand machine, the drip tray is a good size too and very sturdy. It is a little noisy lol, sounds like a mini jet engine. But it's not that bad & as it boils rapidly isn't for long.I'm happy for the price and hopefully it lasts longer than a year.

Great but a little loud.....
I bought this to replace my old hot water dispenser which was from Aldi but lasted years! This is great although I was surprised by how noisy it gets when the water comes out!Water is hotter than in my previous machine (just as hot as using the kettle) and my tea brews perfect.I hope this one will last even longer than my previous cheap supermarket version.
