Briidea Towed Vehicle Battery Maintainer, Easy Installation

The last 2 times I have towed my jeep my battery was dead when I arrived. I installed this before my last trip and when I arrived Jeep fired right up. Easy to install and works well so far.

I have a chevy Colorado that requires that the vehicle battery is disconnected from the vehicle when it is being towed. I have a separate 12v outlet wired directly to the battery to operate the towed vehicle brakeing system. This device keeps the battery charged from the motorhome power.

Works great to keep winch battery on trailer topped up when towed. Be sure the battery is also grounded properly to the trailer ground or you'll arrive with low charge.

Easy to install and works great

Bought this battery maintainer to keep the battery on our towed Jeep charged while towing. When we got to the destination on our first trip using it, the Jeep's battery was dead. As there is no indicator showing if the charger is working, I realized I should have done some testing. After getting setup for the trip home I did a little testing. At the end of the 7 blade cord going to the Jeep I had 14.24 volts with the RV running, at the output of the charger I only had 13 volts. With the RV and Jeep disconnected the Jeep battery was measuring 12.6 volts so the charger was putting out an increase in voltage, but not enough to charge the towed battery. Very disappointing as I really liked the charger, it's neat and clean and installed easily.

It saved my battery. When I tow my truck behind the motorhome, it keeps the battery charged.
