ProAm USA LANC Remote/Zoom Controller

Zoom, the focus, and speed of zoom work on my JVC which is pretty cool considering that JVC used to not be part of the protocol.OK, so, it is pretty small - good, really lightweight- good and bad because it feels cheap, has a fairly noisy click to the buttons when using it, which if you are using mics rather than on-camera mics doesn't matter and is super cheap which is awesome.If you don't have a ton of money and want a cool remote so your shoots are smother, buy this. If you can afford better and are running real high-end gear and use this sort of thing all the time - buy something else. It works and for the price I love it.

The physical quality of the controls is a bit weak, and I'm not sure how long they'll last, but functionality wise?THEY GAVE VARI-SPEED ZOOM TO MY XA10's, which don't have that!The focus controls worked!The Canon XA10 camcorders are reputedly pretty picky about LANC controllers, I would have been happy to get one-speed zoom. Very much above and beyond the call for the price. 9/10, would buy again. If I had more cameras. :-)

This Lanc remote/zoom controller was just what I needed. I was unsure at first because all controllers talked about Canon and Sony cameras. So I called ProAm and the very pleasant lady convinced me that their controller wiould work on my JVC GY HM170 and it did zoom and record start & stop. I only use it in the camera's full auto mode. If I need to mess with the manual settings, I'm behind the camera. This remote works so well with interviews when there's no camera person. The price was great also. I booked marked ProAm in case I get upscale paying productions since they offer a lot of additional production gear. Wow, seems like all of my production gear and good prices came from Amazon. My camera, the remote controller, both of my editing software , lighting, tripod, etc, etc, etc, etc, etec, Thanks a ton Amazon.

Zooming fuction is not working properly

I love the design and feel of the remote. I just wish it was a bit longer on the cord.I would purchase again in the future.You get what you pay for and the quality on this is pretty good.

Exelente para trabajar eventos. lo uso con una canon XA10 y sony mc2000u.vale la pena solo que cada vez que ponchas grabar o el zoom se escucha un click. lo abri y le puse unos pad para bajar el sonido y asunto solucionado.

This is a nice controller for the price. It does not utilize all of the functions but that is due to the camera, not the controller. I have had several, one has partially stopped working. Not sure if it was the unit itself or it was damage in using and transporting it. Was not enough of a concern to have me not buy the product again. Very satisfied with it.

Not all buttons usable, but off/on button useful. Slowest zoom setting acceptable but could be slower still.
