Not all are equal
I bought several of these for Christmas gifts for some of my nieces. I got two of the amethyst and one of them is really pretty and a nice stone. The other one is just fair. It's a little dark and certainly not as pretty as the other one. I guess you just take a chance on whether you get one that's a really nice stone or not. Not sure yet what I'm going to do with the one that is dark and plain

Cord is decent, "crystal" is plastic
This looks the part and the cord is well made but the actual crystal/stone is not obsidian but black colored plastic.
