Issues with hydrostatic trans for JD S120
Received without any issue, only issues was 1. electrical harness was a 2 pole whereas original was a 4 pole . 2. brake and forward/reverse attachment holes had to be drilled larger. 3. The forward and reverse pedals work opposite than original

perfect fit!
The transmission came shipped in a long box. It was packed very well.I was very sceptical about this transmission working for my mower. My mower a craftsman 46" ys4500, automatic transmission. After applying the belt guard, and the front mount to the transmission, mounting it to the tractor, putting the wheels & belt back on, I started up the engine to try it out. The transmission worked perfectly first off. The transmission was a little noisy at first but after mowing for 6 hours, it sounds great now. It brought my 17 year old mower back to life. Works like it was new again. There are many used ones, and rebuilt ones to be bought. But since most were half the price of a new one, I decided to go with a new one. Cause you never know what you might get with a used one.I would recommend this product

Looks the same but.....
My oem transaxel was a positraction and I thought that's what I would be getting when I ordered this. I installed it, all good, it went forward and back. Out in the yard however was like riding a different tractor. The least bit of uneven ground or uphill grade would set the tires spinning. Be careful if you order this expecting it to perform like the original.

Appears to be fully functional OEM unit.
Purchased this to replace Tuff Torq transmission/axle on my 14 year old Husqvarna riding mower. Was packed in Tuff Torq marked box, and padded very, very well. Arrived in good condition, but the box was oil stained on one end. There was oil - not a lot - inside the box and on the transmission. I'm naively assuming the oil was a result of the box being stood upright during shipping/handling and it leaked out from along the shaft as it didn't appear the sealed filling port or vent port leaked. Hopefully that is not a bad assumption. We'll see. Outwardly, was exact match for old one and fit/aligned perfect. installed in about 1 hour. Had wrongly assumed it would have the feather/shaft keys for the rims, but it did not and nothing in seller's information suggested it should. Just my bad assumption. I've mowed with it 3 times now, about 2 hours each time and work as the Tuff Torq transaxle it replaced. A section of ground I mow is on a 30 degree incline, steeper than the transmission is likely designed to properly handle. When combined with a tight turn or thick grass, it causes the mower to stop moving with pedal fully depressed. A quick 'pump' of the pedal reengages and restores forward movement. That happened with previous Tuff Torq transmission though I recall it not happening until 8-10 into owning/mowing with it. Makes me question my assumption on the oil I observed in the packaging.
