Is there a help page for this? Having issues with up/down tracking. It does reset back to flat on reset but never changes angle after initial setting.
I was hoping someone can send me the full code for the solar tracking since i cant get it to work and i tried their code aswell and i get an error.
How large is the solar panel and what is the open circuit voltage of the panel?
The it requires a lithium battery, but it doesn't specify the size or type. What model single cell lithium battery is recommended?

**updated** awesome!!! Old review = Almost good?

Old review is after this... The seller reached out to me and made it right. Turns out it was my fault. I screwed up the install and the seller not only helped me figure out what happened but also sent me a new unit. These guys are great. Buy their stuff. LolSo, the instructions were good, most of it seemed good, but when I put the battery in the holder it started smoking. That was not so good. I think there was a short in the holder or something. I don't know. Probably doesn't happen almost ever. Just got a lemon I guess.

Great Build: Code Needs Work: points to sun, but then stops

This is a great build and works really well, except that the code needs to be fixed. As is, when you power it on it sets the solar panel in the ideal position, but the code doesn't repeat the action of getting the best sun angle. Unless they have updated their code since my purchases, you will have to edit the code to run the section of code that adjusts the positioning either continually or at user defined intervals. When I bought this, I didn't see any instructions for making these edits to the code. For this reason, I am docking a star and not rating this for beginners since you need some experience with coding for this to work properly. Otherwise, you will have to periodically hit the power or restart button manually.

So Easy and Well Made!

Keyestudio knocks it out of the ballpark once again with this solar tracking kit.Keyestudio really goes the extra mile when it comes to their packaging, it is one of the many great benefits this kit provides over others that are similar. Each component and part is separated into its own packaging with clear indicators of what is in the bag, which corresponds to their instructions making assembly much easier!The kit itself is actually bigger than I thought it would be, with the solar panel about the same size as a cellphone, which can output a decent amount of power. The instructions included in the online Dropbox folder are very easy to use, and they even included a common problems PDF which is helpful. The code and all the needed software components are also in the Dropbox folder, so everything is all in one place.If you want to try out a really cool Arduino based sun or light tracking station, this one is recommended!

Good kit. Instructions could be better. A component died and I reached out to support for a replacement and never heard back from them.

Not for learning

Didn’t come with 3.7v rechargeable battery—a necessary component for operation. Also the provided code does work even after installing the appropriate libraries. I don’t know C++ very well and it will take a long time to figure out. Got this to learn in a fun way, did not expect to have to write the code myself.It does have quality components and the metal and acrylic structure is nice. Could’ve been really cool

FUN project :-)

Had great fun putting this together.No major issues, but a few minor ones. The orientation of the second plate (peripheral) sorta matters. Didn't notice it until it was already assembled and I was integrating the next platform. Not a real big deal, with some minor hacking it went together OK and worked.Other minor issue is that I seemed to get hardware from another project. Was missing some screws and had a bunch I could find no use for. Fortunately I have a goodly collection of screws so working it out wasn't an issue.Overall, I'd recommend this project for fun, education and quite possibly usefulness. I had to live with the first two being on the north side of the building and getting maybe 5 minutes of sun at high summer :-)).Still it did work with what little we have when we have it :-).Get it, have fun and learn!!! I'm sure my bag of screws was a fluke.
