Q: I want to use the pillow after a shoulder replacement and sleeping on my side. Has anyone had any experience using this pillow this way?

Not had a shoulder replacement but do have an arthritic shoulder & sleep on my side. I can say that I use this pillow between my knees & it works well to keep my hips aligned. It is my 2nd one. 1st lasted a few years. It is comfortable to use & I do every night. When this one wears out I will buy another.

Q: Can it be used with and without the cooling pad?

I would not recommend it. It's not like it is really cold.

It does not say. I may have ripped the tag off a long time ago but I don’t remember.

Q: Can the actual pillow be washed?

No the pillow can’t be watch only the cove of the pillow. Only ok
