BUYER BEWARE - Good product BUT know what your buying
Picture is misleading. Thickness of bamboo should be 1/4 more. We have an identical set we bought a similar set at another retailer for the same amount and was a little surprised. Would use ONLY on small pots so u don't ruin antique table tops or wood. Just BE CAREFUL!!!

Design allows a mat to easily crack along the grain
While the product is inexpensive and gets the job done, the design and materials have a flaw. By cutting as many channels as they do through the top and bottom, it becomes easier for a mat to crack along the grain, even though it is only perhaps 1/16 of an inch above the counter top. One of our four mats has cracked in this way.

I knew these weren't going to be top-end, high-quality hot pads, but one was broken in half when I opened the package which is pretty disappointing.

Burns Easily - Smells Bad
Bought these to replace my old trivets and have already had to throw one out after a couple days. They burn very easily with hot pots/pans and then create this HORRID smell that lingered in the apartment for 2 days. A second one is starting to do the same thing, I'll definitely have to be looking for a replacement ASAP

Only 6" square, not 7" as advertised
The seller advertises as four 7" square trivets. But the ones I received are only 6" square and are very thin, maybe only 1/4". Much smaller than my current trivets, aren't even big enough to carry a plate on.

The product received is not as pictured!
The product is ok but it doesn't look anything like the product in the photo. I received four separate trivets instead of one that can slide in and out as pictured.
