We’ve never been camping before, so we tested setting up this 6 person tent in our living room. It’s very simple and only took us about 20 minutes to get it up. Should be faster next time now that we know how it’s done.Kids loved it and spent the day playing in the tent. There are 5 of us (kids age 5-11) and looks like it’s enough space for us to sleep in there.We also put in a sleeping pad and it fit well

Edit 5.11.233rd time using the tent and the grommet for the canopy ripped out on light use during set up and 2 loops for the guy lines are shredding. The floor never was waterproof but the fly did keep all rain out and it is a warm tent during colder temps. I’m calling this one a loss and switching to Core**editShe held up perfectly in an all night constant rain and into the next day. I was dry as a bone with no condensation issues although I do sleep with a small fan. It dries out quickly too. My last camp of the season was temperatures in the low 40’s both nights and I didn’t even put on socks. I hate to be cold while camping and I went prepared with a mr buddy heater that I never even had to run and an electric throw which turns off after 4 hours but I never noticed in the middle of the night. I won’t camp in snow so I can’t attest to that, but this tent surpassed my expectations.This is a first impressions review from setting up in living room and I will update this once I have her out in the wild. First, this was easier to set up than my 2 instant tents. I have an old Coleman with built in rainfly and the kazoo 6 person tent with attachable rainfly for comparison. I have been caught in one too many really big storms and the Coleman can’t handle heavy rainfall. The last time I had the kazoo out in 5 inches of rain fall, it did ok but I struggle getting that set up, water still comes up from underneath and the floor is not waterproof AT ALL. I have a clam quickset with built in rain panels and that thing has saved me every time it rains and the reason I chose this tent was because of the skirt at the bottom of the fly and the high waterproof rating. The skirting on the clam channels all the water away from the inside so I have high hopes this tent will perform well. I am impressed with the quality of the materials, the zippers are good, the vents are good (I have similar on the Coleman and they have held up fine for 10+years). I use foam tent pad squares that interlock together as my footprint and it protects the floor and helps keep it dry and you will want a footprint with this tent. I’m a tiny bit concerned with the plastic buckles that attach the fly- I hope they hold up. I love that this packs up so nice in its bag and is half the size of the instant tents in the bag. I’m not much of a winter camper but do early spring summer and fall in Wisconsin and I can already tell this tent is warmer than my other two. I would like to find a spare tent pole to have with me because I am that person lol. I’m 5 feet tall and 52 years old and generally camp solo or with my daughter. We use twin air mattresses and I think it’s going to be tight. The vestibules are awesome to have. You can store wet shoes etc there and pull up your cooler so you can access food and drink while you are rained in. Super happy with this purchase

We love this tent. Best purchase this year. My kids love it too. Its very lightweight. Easy to setup as per my husband. My kids were so excited to see it for the first time. Our very first tent. We can't wait to use it on our next camping trip. It's very roomy also.
