Yes, I do this often after turning om the diffuser for 15 mins at night but leave the light on all night with the remote.

Q: Do the lights have a strobe type effect? The videos make it appear as if it's flashing... Definitely not something I want.

You can set it to gradually transition from one color to the next or set it on one color. The transition is definitely not like a strobe light. Hope this helps!!

The media could not be loaded. Waste of money. Product is a total useless one get switched off without reason. Manual doesn't help Amazon return is also not there just some trouble shoot for kids. Very disappointed on Amazon on allowing such un-returnable products to be sold on their website.
