This cable has none of those problems and has been nice to work with so far
This is definitely a decent cable. It pulls very smoothly from the box and does not have a tendency to want to “spring” back into a coil when working with long runs. Outdoor CAT5/6 can be a real bear to work with, and some types of outdoor cable with less flexible outer jackets have a tendency to hold a strict memory of the coil which causes loops and kinks. Sometimes these stiff cables will kink inside the box which really cramps my style. This cable has none of those problems and has been nice to work with so far. I do a lot of work with outdoor IP cameras and wireless bridges. This cable has a reasonably heavy foil shield with drain wire, and a nicely flexible weatherproof outer jacket. The jacket can be described as “almost rubbery” but has enough substance to stand up to UV and water/ice/snow. I would not recommend laying this cable directly on a black rubber roof. I’ve had bad experiences with other brands of outdoor CAT5 cracking and the weather resistance being compromised (no one should be laying cable directly on a roof outside of properly secured conduit anyways). Only time will tell how the cable stands up to the elements, but it’s been a couple months now and the jacket still looks new. I would definitely buy this wire again.

Good UV cable for the price.
I own a small wireless internet company. I have pulled hundreds-of-thousands of feet of cat5e cable over the years and have been using the Shireen DC-1021 cable for outdoor runs and it has always served my purpose well. Lately that brand of cable has gotten pretty pricey, so at $40 cheaper per box I thought I would give this stuff a try. So far this stuff seems to perform just as well as the Shireen. I have installed runs as long as 200ft and I get gigabit connections with no errors. I have noticed the jacket on this brand doesn't seem quite as thick as the Shireen, and this brand is just a coil-in-a-box, whereas the Shireen is an actual spool-in-a-box, so this brand doesn't dispense quite as smoothly, but this hasn't been an issue thus far. And if anything, the thinner jacket actually makes it easier to fit in the shielded RJ-45 connector, so it's a little bit easier to terminate. As of this review, I only have a few locations with this cable deployed, but there has been no issues with it so far, and the jacket still looks new after several months in the sun. I'm the Arizona desert, which is definately hard on outdoor cable, so I will update this review if things change.

Met My Expectations!
Very durable cable. Easy to terminate. Fluke speed/xtalk test verified quality. As good as any outdoor shielded cable I have used on the job.
