Amazon Basics Retractable Tape Measure with Push Button, Easy to Use, 16 Feet, Pink

The obnoxious pink color makes this tape measure hard to misplace. I used to have a silver one, and I could see that pretty good, but then I got this black one and it was always lost. I'm not the most organized, so the pink really helps. In addition, it's a great tape measure, easy to use, easy to read and retracts it's length as well. Good for the price, too.

Having just moved into a new apartment, this Amazon Basics 16 ft tape measure has been an absolute essential for taking measurements before making any furniture or decor purchases. It's the perfect tool for the job! Plus, the unique turquoise color is surprisingly handy – it really helps prevent the tape measure from getting easily lost amongst all the moving boxes and clutter. A practical and easily spottable tool for any move or home project.

Great product. I appreciate how it doesn't immediately retract once it it extended; however, if you want to retract then you simply press the button. Easy to use, accurate measurements, good value, and lightweight. The markings definitely makes this product easier to use especially if you don't use a tape measure on a daily basis. Recommend!

As I was walking by a construction site this morning, a hardhatted man cried out as he dropped something down a well. "Noooo, my tape measure!" he screamed in untold pain.This was the moment I had been waiting for. I pulled the Amazon Basics Tape Measure out of my cargo pants pocket. I carry it with me everywhere with pride, but today was my day to shine."Sir, sir!" I stammered as he held his tear-laden face. It turns out this was the eighth tape measure he had lost down the well and the construction boss had warned him were it to happen again it would come out of his paycheck. Given the hefty prices of standard, non Amazon Basic tape measures, I understood his dismay.I handed over my tape measure and the man, face-weathered and leathery from lack of sunscreen, took it carefully, flipping it over to examine it. I thought he was eyeing the brilliant turquoise lining, reminiscent of Navajo jewelry, but he exclaimed "This is only 16 feet long! The standard tape measure is 25 feet. Why wouldn't they make it 15 feet? Or 20 feet? 16 is so random."Despite the hours I had admired the majesty of my Amazon Basics tape measure, this had never crossed my mind. Fortunately, I had a solution."Despite it's appearance," I began, "it can measure even the longest distances!" I explained that if you lie it down, mark the spot, and do it again, you could measure 32 feet for instance.I had never seen such a surprised look on a man's face. "But what about 22 feet or 18 feet? This is a good decent tape measure. I needed a small one, I actually was looking for an even smaller one that I could carry in my purse. This will make my purse too heavy, but I can keep it in my car and it will be handy when I need it. I love the color and it works well and even though it is rather small, it will do everything I need from a tape measure. I am very happy with it. It looks just like the photo and a good size for the average person unless you are a contractor or something.

The product is so far so good. Looks like decent quality. I would give 5* but for the fact that the metric scale is unlabeled. The numbers are in centimeters (cm), but that is not apparent from anything on the item.
