Wouldn't accept any initial PINs. Not useable.
I attached this drive to my PC and got the expected red and green lights. I followed the enclosed setup instructions to enter a new compliant PIN. No matter what I entered it just switched back to red/green as shipped mode and would not accept an initial PIN. The enclosed quick start guide said that there was no default PIN while the enclosed Windows Disconnect Patch insert said that there was a default PIN that must be entered. The support documentation on the Web site listed a completely different default PIN. The support FAQ only suggestion was to enter the PIN more slowly, which made no difference. There appears to be no way to use this drive and all of the available instructions conflict with each other, and none of them provide a solution. This drive so far is unusable.

This is a great way to travel or use at home to protect your data from theft and use by someone else.

Non utilisable avec Windows
iStorage n'a pas réussi a créé un produit compatible avec Windows. Après une dizaine d'échanges avec leur service support et un premier retour à l'usine (à ma charge), iStorage rejette toujours la faute sur Windows. A mon avis c'est à iStorage de s'adapter à Windows et non le contraire. Je vais tenter un remboursement...

After trying several external SSDs I decided to give it a try to iStorage diskAshur. I was a hesitant because of the price. I just tried it and WOW!Worth every penny:+ Super easy to use+ Excellent and simple admin and user controls+ NO SOFTWARE required - Zero, nada, rien, nothing+ Works with iPad, Windows, MacIf you care about security, it is a very worthy investment.Totally recommended!

Voor mijn belangrijkste data, werkt zoals beschreven en voor mij is dit een extra backup met encryptie.
