This was my second time purchasing these lights. Great colors and options. The app isn’t terribly difficult to use and can be quite fun to play around with the endless options. I’d still like to see a bit more ingenuity in the app and have better integration when hooking two strands together so if they are doing a running color-change pattern it would be seamless between both strands and work as one. Otherwise, these are great and have been holding up over the years. Granted, I have only used them as holiday lights, but they have endured being put up and taken down numerous times. (They are cafe lights so they are spaced further apart than holiday lights. I got creative with zip ties to get the lights closer together. I suppose it would be great if the company could develop an option of these that had lights closer together to accomplish this.) I use a smart plug with them and can just have Alexa turn them on and off while they “remember” the chosen pattern and I don’t have to access the app each time. Good value. Well made. Very happy with the purchase.

I have enjoyed the Govee Outdoor String Lights so far. They are bright, colorful, and easy to control with the app. They add a festive touch to my patio and make it more inviting. The app has many features and options to customize the lights, such as changing the color, brightness, mode, and timer. I can also sync the lights with music or create my own scenes.The only downside is that they were a little tricky to connect to the app at first. I had to follow the instructions carefully and make sure the Bluetooth was on and close to the lights. It took me a few tries to get it right, but once I did, it worked smoothly. I would suggest improving the connection process to make it more user-friendly.Overall, I am very happy with these lights and I would purchase them again. They are well-made, durable, and fun to use. They are perfect for outdoor parties, gatherings, or just relaxing at night. I would recommend them to anyone looking for some quality outdoor string lights.

The media could not be loaded. I bought these lights in 2021 and they are still going strong. Love the variety of color options in the settings of the app. We hang them every summer on our canopy in our backyard. They are easy to install. We get a lot of compliments on them when we have company. We haven't done this, bit I like that you can connect more lights if you need to. I also like that you can change from colors to just a white lights.

Despite the term Smart, functionality is limited. Lights can change colors, blink and do other light effects. But, they do not work with any smart home platforms and can only be controlled by the Govee app. While there are detailed light controls for color and effects, you can't even program them to turn on/off at a certain time. The hooks on the lights themselves are poorly designed as well.There is an App available which supposedly allows Honekit integration but it doesn't work without expensive add on boxes or a dedicated PC to run it. There's a reason they are substantially cheaper than true smart light alternatives.

The length is good for my patio, and I feel confident that the plastic bulbs will endure the weather... BUT! since these are Bluetooth only, no WiFi, no Smart Home integration of any kind (like what I expect when I see the Govee brand name), they leave some things to be desired. If I had read the description more carefully I might have noticed the absence of references to Google Home, but I would appreciate the description being more up-front and proactive when there's such a difference from brand expectations.In addition to the lack of Google Home support, the Govee app also has less features for this product. For example, it can't be added to 1-touch control widgets, meaning I need to open the app manually, wait for the Bluetooth to connect, and then turn it on. First World Problem, sure, but hey.I might get something else for my patio and move these to the front of my house for seasonal decorations I can run on a timer, instead. Not worth returning over, just disappointing.
