Avalon Organics Clarfying Lemon Shampoo

I am so upset that I have paid nearly £9 for this shampoo in hope help with the hard water I have. It is almost water come out the bottle, you hardly get any shampoo to wash your hair, pouring out several times can give you kind of bubles. How they can sell such product for this price is beyong me. I don't know how I could get the refund as it is shampoo. It just a liquid lemon water with less than 10% of shampoo mix. £9 is cheating!

This shampoo is a life-saver!!! My scalp was constantly itchy, my hair roots would become oily 1 day after washing and brushing my hair was starting to feel unbearable due to how tangled it was. I tried everything: the classic water with vinegar, rubbing sweet almond oil in my scalp to help with the itchiness, lots and lots of conditioner to detangle my hair... You name it! Then I read about clarifying shampoos and this one was amongst the recommendations. I now use it every two weeks and my hair stays light and shiny, only needing a wash after 4 or 5 days. Highly recommend!

Not very good. Certainly cleans hair but definitely not the best clarifier. I bought this because my normal clarifying shampoo was out of stock, but I wouldn’t buy this again. I have low porous hair which is prone to product build up. This shampoo removed some build up but not all, and always left my hair feeling dry and straw-like. Cantu’s Apple Cider Root Rinse is far more effective, leaving my hair squeaky clean and soft.

I have struggled with product build-up for a couple of months now and have tried multiple products to get rid of it (Lush, Tresemme, T-Gel...) and this is the only one that REALLY worked. My hair is back to how it was before! Normally I have fine, oily hair and it did not dry it out too much, it may be a bit strong for those with dry hair to start with.

Works wonder when you are in a very hard water area. Does not give much of lather but hair feels squeaky clean. Make sure you use a generous amount of conditioner after shampooing.
