Great Budget Alternative To RODE-PSA1
Model: Puroma "MAS38" aka (38" arm") extends to 3 feet long.Story: I needed a upgrade for my mic setup so I was looking to see what's out there. I found this Puroma one and I looked at the reviews and most people said it's good. I bought this mic arm back in late 2021 and i'm now doing a review because why not it might be useful to some people. Let's just say that this mic arm has standed against the times and has not weared much if any at all. This might not be the most accurate use case though because I don't move or adjust the arm much unless i'm moving it out of the way to reach the back of my motherboard or unclamping it from my desk to clean.Pros: Built Sturdy, Arm doesn't move unintentionally (at joints), Clamp works perfect (for me)Cons: for some the arms at the joints where it can bend up and down might be a little too tight for some users preference but it works for meTL:DR - I recommend this to anyone looking for a budget alternative to the RODE-PSA1

It works alright but probably not in the long run.
The arm works amazing for the price. I do get some squeaky sounds when moving the arm now that I’ve had it for about a year. I would recommend a larger version because the smaller one can work well for mine but maybe people who have larger desks won’t reach or if you have a large monitor setup won’t reach above their monitor. If you’re the type of person that moves this things way too much this will last far less, roughly 1-2 years. It’s great for the price but get a larger one, you will enjoy it a lot better in the long run.

Holds my 4.25 lb. Mag light head with no slippage at all
Read this review if you have insomnia – it’ll put you to sleep. I bought a vintage high-dollar magnifying light from a well known auction site. When I got it I realized the articulating arm was broken. All of the internal plastic pieces were rotted and falling apart. But, I got such a good price on this light that I decided to keep it. A week or so later I went to visit my son who had an articulating boom arm for his microphone. It was one of those famous brand $100 ones. That’s exactly what I needed, so I started looking at those things on the internet. I found this one on sale during Prime day. It claims to hold up to 3.5 pounds. My mag light head weights 4.25 pounds. What the heck – I bought it. It works exactly as I wished it would and saved me about $77 compared to the big brand arm. So, it gets a 5-STAR rating from me. Good night.

Great quality mic arm
For a $25 mic arm, this thing is fantastic. The build quality far exceeds other budget options I've tried, and I can see this mic arm lasting for years. It even holds its own against some of the more high-end models.

Bought a different mic MXL 770. It’s a lot heavier than the previous one I used, so there’s a slight issue with it keeping upright. Although after tightening it a lot, it holds up fine now.******This thing was SO stiff, I actually started to doubt it could even move. Of course after breaking it in, it worked a lot better. STILL stiff, but definitely not as bad. I’m sure it’ll “loosen” the more I use it.It’s very good quality though! So good for the price.

Works exactly as needed and advertised
The media could not be loaded. The microphone stand works exactly as it’s intended to. Supports the weight of my yeti microphone perfectly to however I adjust it. It stays put and does sag or rebound. Great find!
