Great tasting coffee substitute
This product makes a totally caffeine free "instant" hot drink (just add hot water!) that tastes and smells good and is an acceptable/reasonable substitute for those used to instant (Decaf) coffee. (Note that it is not a direct one to one match to a true coffee taste/smell.) When served black the drink has a smell and taste that is reminiscent of "Camp coffee" (which is based on a concentrated syrup which is flavored with coffee and chicory). When served with milk and sugar/sweetener the flavour is mellow and surprisingly "coffee-like". This is definitely a product that some will like and some will struggle to enjoy. I really like it and will be buying it again, so would suggest that you give it a try.

Tastes like coffee
I'm very happy with this drink. It tastes way better than the Chicory drink I tried some time ago (with its sole ingredient), which I found bitter tasting. I was surprised by just how similar Whole Earths 'No Caf' tastes to coffee. It could potentially help people cut down on coffee or eliminate it completely but that's down to the individual. If anything, it serves as a coffee substitute if you fancy a coffee late evening or before bed, or you've already had too much coffee that day. I've just ordered my second jar and I'll be trying Whole Earth's 'Wake Up Coffee Alternative' at some point.

Amazing
I suffer from IBS and I thought I would have to give up on coffee forever.. not anymore! 🎉🥳I have to say when I tried it without sugar and milk the taste was so strong and of chicory I didn’t like it at all, but I don’t like black coffee on its own either.Just add some milk (nice with almond) and sugar and the magic is done! Tastes like a white americano ☕️ ☕️ ♥️♥️Thank you whole earth!! ♥️

Tastes good but too addictive!
This “coffee” substitute tastes really nice - not like coffee but still meets my coffee craving. I would easily choose this over coffee. That being said, it’s sweet (not sugary sweet but it has some sweetness from the barley and figs), and I feel it’s just as addictive as other sugary drinks. I am trying to give up processed sugar, but while having this I don’t think my cravings are going to go away. I have 2-3 cups of this which is more than I would have if it were actual coffee. I think I will try something that’s just plain chicory next time, I should have read the ingredients!

Delicious!
This helped me when I quit coffee, and I liked it so much I actually preferred the flavour of it than I did coffee, and still it's one of my favourite daily drinks. I've tried other similar coffee substitutes but think this is the nicest. Also as I drink it with a splash of soya milk, it doesn't make the soya milk curdle like another similar product does .

Coffee doppelgänger!!
From not drinking coffee for nearly 13 years, this reminds me exactly of that taste. I’m so glad I bought this and not decaf coffee. This is such a great alternative, and opens up a world of possibilities to those of us who were told to give up coffee by a medical professional. I’m so happy!

A coffee substitute that tastes fantastic
Tired of coffee giving me headaches I decided to give this a whirl. Have to say I'm already converted! I add oat milk and sweetener to it and it's such a lovely flavour! That, plus I've read elsewhere that chicory promotes good gut health, so here's to taming my digestive issues even further! I will be back for more of this when this jar runs out, yes.

Not bad, could be better
I did not like the taste that much.I like coffee substitutes but this one needs some improvement.That said, it may be more palatable for some people, not me in this case.
