DechraTopical Vetradent Powder Water Additive for Dogs & Cats (300gm)

This jar lasted me over a year for my small dog, but shortly after opening the jar, it became a solid rock instead of powder. I had to literally work the solid chunk out of the jar and break it up with a hammer in order to turn it back into a powder so I could scoop it. That said, it does seem to keep my dog's teeth cleaner, but I'm switching to the liquid version after I use up the rest of this jar.

This product was recommended by my vet for both of my dogs. It has definitely helped prevent gum disease and related issues. The one draw back, my dogs know when it’s in the water. They’ll still drink, but not as much so it must have a slight taste. I use it every couple of days..

Every time I take my dog to the vet to have her teeth cleaned, they pull at least one tooth. This most recent time I asked how often I should bring her in for a cleaning because I want to avoid having more teeth pulling if I can. They recommended Vetradent, which they had available for purchase. I didn't question the cost as it was bundled in with my dog's appointment bill. When I looked at the itemized bill later, I found it cost me more than $36. Two months later I needed more, so that's when I checked online. I'm saving a lot by buying it online and I could even set it up as a subscription, so I don't I have thing about ordering it.

My cat would get horrible mouth sores every few months and we could not figure out the cause. My vet thought it might be a plastic allergy, or that she had some sort of bacterial infection that wasn’t going away with the use of antibiotics. We decided to try Vetradent after a particularly bad round of the mouth sores and she’s been doing well ever since! We’ve been using it in her water now for almost two years and she hasn’t had a mouth sore since (knock on wood)!! Another bonus is that it keeps their breath smelling fresh! Highly highly recommend this product for your pets!

It seemed to work as 2 of my dogs, mostly noticed by the smell of their breath, but my 3rd dog would vomit regularly while I was using it, so I had to stop. It wasn’t excessive vomiting, but was watery and about once or twice a day. After I stopped using this, his vomiting stopped.Also, since I have 3 dogs and it’s summer, I had to boil a lot of water to keep their water bowl full. That kinda stunk.

Didn't solve bad breath

I've been adding Vetradent to my cats' water for a few months now, and I'm happy that all 3 of my indoor cats drink it with no hesitation. It's easy to use: I microwave double the amount of 1 mixing, making it 8 1/2 cups of water. I mix in the Vetradent and let it cool overnight. In the morning I pour half of the mixture in my cats' main water bowl and we're set. One canister lasts a long time, and can only be beneficial for my cats teeth and gums. I also like that it's recommended by vets, as there are some sketchy products out there.

Have been using for years! THIS HAS ALWAYS HELPED ME WITH MY REALLY OLD DOGS OR A SICK DOG TO KEEP THEM GOING/STIMULATE APPETITE
