Hot Racing ESC303T06 Velineon VXL-S3 Esc Aluminum Heat Sink High Velocity Fan

So I know the hr fans suck they move no air at all. Purchased this only for the clamp style aluminum heat sink mount as this will never come off when jumping ect. I attached my own 30mm aluminum 2800rpm heat sink fan and wow. It's expensive to buy this only for the mount then add your own high power fan but well worth it. If I was not in rush I would have shoped around and purchased at lower price if I could. I will try and post video in feature showing how bad the hr fans are compared to others.

I am giving this 2 stars overall because my return deadline has passed and I only ran my stadium truck once with the fan because I had a bad shock. So I got my shocks today, got everything together and drove around the YARD no jumps, no going fast and so on. I rolled in the grass once nothing crazy and didn't think anything about it and finished the battery. By the way I have a mesh chassis cover thats why I got the fan! Anyways I let the truck cool down and got another battery and when I turned the truck on I realized the fan wasn't running and when I looked closer one of the blades broke off and the fan was stuck. I decided to purchase this fan instead of the traxxas one because I thought it would be better and at first I was extremely happy but if it broke with me just putting around the GRASS I dont know how it would hold up racing or really bashing. I will just say hopefully mine was just a lemon.

So the only issue I have is the wires on my esc have to me pushed down to keep the metal from cutting in I put a few sleeves of shrink wrap on it to help but still feel overtime it will cut right through it like the idea but I think I would rather make the bars shorter and put a hold in the plates on the esc but I haven't been able to find a better one yet

What can I say but wow I had the brushed version of the rustler 4x4 took that one out threw it in the trash and put in this brushless system from Traxxas and wow, that & a 3's battery whole new ballgame. but be ready to start upgrading plastic parts that you have underneath it to aluminum or stronger plastic parts cuz you will start breaking things LOL

works great on my Rustler VXL. The shock tower is a little low to accommodate the fan and a height extension for the high capacity lipo, but the fan works well. When installing, be sure not to put any pressure on the center of the fan or on the blades. I managed to displace the fan when pushing onto the heat sink and had to use the flat head of a screwdriver to push the blades back up into the housing. Once re-positioned, the fan ran well and does its job

Took the RC off some jumps, the fan got really loud at first, I continued until the fan stopped working entirely and I noticed 2 blades were missing. So this lasted about an hour. I bought the ESC fan and the motor fan, one was missing 1 blade and the other was missing 3, and stopped functioning all together.

This does what its supposed to. The down side there was no installation instructions but it was really easy to figure out. I was very satisfied and it was wll worth it. I have also run in river water and it still working.

Installed very easy, plugged it in and was immediately taken aback by how loud this little fan is. Got one run on my car in with it, and somehow managed to lose 2 blades. There really is no guard against small rocks getting into the fan, which is what i suspect took them out.
