Fela Kuti: Music Is The Weapon

Interesting and Informative
There's so much wonderful stuff here as well as some things that I disagree with like polygamy. I don't agree with some of the things the commentator said about Nigeria, but it is wonderful to watch some of the Fela Kuti interviews and see parts of Nigeria. As someone who grew up in Lagos, it makes me nostalgic. There are some nice pictures and Fela sings some songs. He truly understands what is going on and is unapologetically African. There's also some footage of Dr. King, Malcolm X, and JFK. You should buy it if you're a Fela Kuti fan or if you're curious about him. I recommend this documentary to all.

Fela - documentary
It presents Fela's career and life as a moving force against oppression with an old but effective battle weapon: music. A good documentary for a base understanding of a monumental artist.
