Propper Men's 100-Percent Cotton Boonie, Olive, 7.5

This is a must, similar to Nam.

It's light, sturdy, offers plenty of shade, wicks away sweat, has a chinstrap for windy days and at the end of a long day in the sun, it's machine-washable. There are other options out there but this one gets my vote - it's simply a near-perfect solution for outdoor work and play.

This is the second hat I have bought, the first one I've had for 17 years, still wear it doing yard work, it definitely has wear and tear but has been a great hat. The new one seems to be made out of the same high quality material. It's great for hunting, fishing, doing yard work, it's just a good outdoor hat. Definitely recommend, also I always hand washed my old hat, I think that is why it has lasted so long.

After about $100. spent on several boonies (including Proper) I have success ! ! This boonie cover measures very close to the original "Sekri" without Marpat or other camo. The bucket has the proper rake with the back measuring 4 inches tall, the front measuring 3 inches tall, as it should. Allows more head room instead of the average after market that fits snug against the top of my head. Very comfortable. Thanks Proper ! ! Be perfect if the brim had an additional 1/4 inch width to match the original Boonie and provide comparable flop. Size at 7.5 is slightly large. I expect it to shrink to perfect.

My husband loves the hat. He works outside all day and it is much better than a ball cap.

If the brim is mil-spec, it's only barely so. I've been buying mil-spec boonies for years, and this one seems exceptionally thin and flimsy. I don't expect it to hold up well.

The hat was perfect and what I wanted, but the fit was terrible. I managed to create a way to wear the Boonie cap without it falling off with every breeze. I cannot believe the "medium" hat size is accurate. I think the hat runs very large for a size medium, but I like the hat and did not want to change it to a small size, as I am sure that would be too small.

Sizing is accurate, quality is good! I measured my head with a cloth tape measure and chose a hat size as close as possible on the larger side, figuring it will probably shrink in the wash. I'm very pleased with the hat! The draw string has a small leather sliding thing which can snug the strap under the chin, and the band around it is designed for clipping stuff on, such as cigarette lighter or other small items. Perfect hat!

Je n'ai pas été emballé par le côté gauffré du matériau utilisé : trop rigide et pas assez épais à mon goût. Du coup, cela rend compliqué de "faire" ce chapeau de brousse sur la tête et donner à la visière les plis qu'on souhaite. Egalement, je trouve qu'il manque bien 2,5 cm de largeur tout autour du bord pour assurer une protection au soleil confortable.

Great for the price; fits well, I use the chin strap on the back of the head to help secure it in place.. Overall a good value product!
