The plat panel doesn’t get slimy from being in the water and you can put the fountain in the shade as the cord is long enough to have the panel in the sun. Highly recommend.

I love this little pump! It's just what I was looking for to use with my fountain that has no access to electricity. I've had this fountain for approx. 20 years and it's very sentimental to me, so I wanted it to be used as a fountain. This pump pushes the water through it just like the pump that was corded! Of course the solar panel must be in the sun, and I put it where there was sun all day. I've even noticed on slightly overcast days, the pump will run. The accessories it came with , sprayer, extenders, etc. I didn't use, but were a nice addition in the event I need them for something else in the future. I'd recommend this pump to anyone looking for a small powerful solar submersible pump.

I’m incredibly disappointed in this product and should have read the reviews that it doesn’t work when there’s no sun, as there is no battery power storage. And when I say no sun, I mean, if a shadow crosses over HALF of it it will stop working, never mind a cloudy day. I stupidly epoxied the cord into a fountain before realizing this so I’m really kicking myself.

I literally took it out of the box and plugged it into the solar panel and the pump started working immediately. It wasn't even a sunny day. I am leaving mine without a spray head on as it sprays too high and all the water out of my little bird bath. I can't answer on the longevity but I can say it turns off when the sun goes down and comes back on in the morning.

I just have a tiny planter pond I needed this pump for to move water and eventually build a small filtration system around that was solar powered. The solar panel is big and gives it a good amount of power! There are different heads to choose from and it’s pretty strong. I had to put it sideways for now. I wish the tube was longer, but all in all I’m very satisfied with my purchase. For the price and quality I think it’s unbeatable.

Super easy to use. I couldn’t get it to go up a tube several feet high so instead I hid the tube under some rocks so it could drop several inches into the pool. What most amazes me is that I still get a small stream when it is cloudy or the trees are shading the panel. I cannot comment on the longevity as it has only been in place for about 6 weeks.

This product has a large solar screen. But bigger isn’t always better as in this case. The fountain barely bubbles and that’s on a sunshine day. I have solar lights with small solar screens that deliver more solar power than this. Needles to say it works but not the way it should. Go for a smaller solar panel. It maybe better. I was disappointed in this product. I only gave it 2stars because it works but not like it should.
