I bought a 9 speed 11-42. It arrived from China very, very quickly, well before the estimated date. Securely and safely packaged with padding around the teeth. There is a cluster of 7 gears together, then 2 smaller gears which slide onto the freehub splines individually, and the lockring. The derailleur hanger extension was sellotaped to the inside of the box.The 7 piece cluster is held together by 3 pins equally spaced around the centre hole. The pins have a T10 torx head. These were all a little loose and there was some movement between the gears, they would move round a little, like the hands of a clock. I have the correct tool so I tightened them and all the play was removed. The 3 pins protrude very slightly from the front face of the gear cluster but there are 3 small cutouts from the next gear that buts up to the pins to allow for this. Because there is a master spline the gears can only go on the freehub in one way so the cutouts will always line up with the pins. Well thought out.The only reason I knew to check for play was because I have previously had a gear cluster with this 'clock rotation' problem. Some of the individual gears cut into and damaged the splines of the freehub which then needed replacing along with the cluster, so it is worth checking before fitting.There is plenty of shaping to the teeth and gear faces so it looks like the chain will be helped to move smoothly between the gears. The internal splines on the lockring are well profiled and mate really snugly with the tightening tool.

Bought to covert to cheap 1x9. 3 years down the line no issues. Second one bought just in case...

The cassette came well packaged . And seems good quality . Fitted straight in my road bike with no issues .Good price aswell .

Now it’s easy to go uphill, and aesthetically nicer.

Don,t do an awful lot of serious cycling so this cassette was ideal for me.Could have spent a lot more money on specialist shimano or otherwise, but this one was ideal for me.

Great way to covert my old 3x9 speed to 1x9 speed, cost effectively. Feels a lot lighter than it looks. Got the 11-46 9 speed which just under 500g. Works great with my existing mech, easy to change out, a bit of a fiddle to the gears adjusted, but now shifts flawlessly. Great buy.

Removed my old 10 speed 11-42t cassette and replaced with the 10 speed 11-50t, went for a ride, it was great.
