Q: How thick is the mattress?

About an inch or 1.5 inches. Our baby slept on this mattress in a bassinet my husband built until she was three months old with no problems.

I purchased this mattress because it matched the measurements of the cradle my husband was making and fit perfectly. Amazon is the only place I found this size mattress.

It is 15x30 It was a little small for our bassinet but worked. It is at my son's house so I can't tell you for sure.

Don’t know but we have a mattress pad and sheet over it and have used it 4 yrs ago and currently using it now
