I prefer the Texture Coated
A very nice head. Well made and coating holds up better than other brands. Not as well as UV1, but UV1 doesn’t exactly have a useable coating. Not for brushes anyway. I pealed off the rings, because while they did a great job of muting the head on my toms, it was too much and ate up too much attack. As it sits, without the rings, they are Texture Coated heads that read Studio-X.For a studio though, I can’t see going wrong with them. That’s what they were designed for.
