I plugged the extender in the outlet beside my router yet the WiFi signal would only flash one bar while my iPhone and iPad had full service. I tried for over an hour to get this to work, moving the extender around the room and house.I was able to connect enough to try setup but the process never worked and directions only give hints how to do the setup. If the signal was strong, in the room with no signal issues, I would have spent more time trying to figure out setup.

They could at least find a native english speaker to proof read the instruction book. Babelfish translation is gibberish. I'm not resetting anything "monetarily". I wouldnt even care the grammar is bad if at least the directions were technically accurate.

We have a two story house and our router was downstairs. We had trouble getting good reception upstairs where our computers were. I plugged it in to an outlet, pressed the WPA button on the extender, then the WPA button on the router. It found it within a minute and the lights were constant. This is the easiest way to set it up. My speed went from 3 MBPS download to 20.7! We are happy with it.

No luck with the install. Also noticed the item was very hot when unplugging.

Great Wifi extender! It is really small and and unobtrusive. Setup was easy although I was not able to set it up using WPS. Instructions are short, concise and easy to follow. I easily upgraded the firmware during the setup and recommend doing so as there are added features etc. Once it was set up I tried a few spots around the house to test the strength and found it to work quite well in most spots i plugged it in. This wifi extender is 5 times smaller than my router provided by my ISP and way more powerful. I really love that it just plugs into the wall and there are no cords etc to cause clutter etc. I used the GALAWAY website to compare this model against their newer more expensive one but couldn't really see what the difference was between the two. I'm really happy with this device and would buy it again. I highly recommend this product.

We had the router plug in extender in our hallway and my wifi would constantly shut-down. I saw this listed on here and asked my husband if we should order it. He said we needed something better than our router, so to go ahead and try this though he wasn't too certain it would help. Not only has it helped, we have had no more wifi issues. He is able to download, watch Netflix downstairs, and have multiple programs running on the main computer upstairs; while I am able to go online, have many apps running, and a few idevices on at the same time. We could not do this with the other extender, so this has saved him lots of my calls for help with the wifi. My daughter used to like looking at the blue circle on the router, but now enjoys the 2 "arms" on the extender . Our house is happy!

I used this to extend my signal to my garage office. It works like a charm.Some reviewers say that the speed drops. Not so. I'm getting full speed in my office. The range is acceptable, but not huge. I can reach 30' or so without signal loss, through brick and plaster walls, which kill signals.A few other things: by default this extender creates a new wireless network named after your network, but given a new suffix. Great idea. If, say, router 1 is near your TV, you can be sure that Netflix is getting the fastest speed by selecting the unboosted network. Your farther reaches can be covered by the boosted network. That way, if the booster is a bit slower, you wouldn't be giving it to the high-priority locations by accident.Set-up was a snap. Plug it in, press a button, and press another button. The movable antennae are a nice touch: antennae work best when placed perpendicular to where you want the signal to go.

Does exactly what it's supposed to do. Easy to install, and very effective. Great product for extending the WiFi range in your house!So, after using the extender for a long time with good results, I've been sent a extender for review, and once I plugged it in, there was a BIG difference. Now, to be fair, I updated the firmware and installed the newest version of the Wireless Configuration Utility, which I hadn't done with the older unit, but anyway, the performance is a lot better. In my (admittedly not particularly professional) experience, WiFi adapters and accessories with external antennae tend to give better signal, especially if it's a high gain antenna. In any case, the extender seems to work better for me than the extender did. If you're on the fence about which one to try, I recommend the extender.
