It is made of smooth, solid furniture grade wood and put together with quality screws for sturdiness. Comes with wood, all screws, and easy to follow 5-step instructions. Check out our other items and feedback! Our bed's assembly process takes advantage of the pocket hole assembly method and involves driving screws directly into solid wood during assembly. With almost 30,000 beds sold over the past 6 years the pocket hole assembly method has been a tried and true assembling technique for our beds. Tools required for assembly can all be found at any hardware store. What you will need is a #2 size square bit (6” long style) which is now included, a standard Phillips (+) bit, a cordless power drill, and an extra set of hands. Wood Type: Poplar- Furniture grade and knot-free. Considered a hardwood and has more of a lighter tan look, with some color variance that can get a little darker brown toned and could consist of small knots. At times you may receive wood that has a green tint to it. This is because we mill it down and expose wood that hasn’t seen much light or air yet. Over the course of a few days or weeks (depending on the lighting and air movement through the room) the green will fade out to light tans and browns. Now your purchase plants trees! With every bed sold we plant a tree through and organization called One Tree planted!

Good quality
Very happy with the quality and material. Will need 2 people to assemble. Took us about 45 mins to 1 hr to assemble.

Where is the chimney?
I am so disappointed. I paid extra to add the footings and chimney and the product came with neither. Nothing was labeled and I had to go purchase a particular drill bit for square headed screws. My son who is Autistic cried for hours over the lack of a chimney. Not fun for this Mommy.As far as what did arrive, the bed is adorable. Smaller than I expected, but cute.

Not worth the money
I was sent the wrong items even though I paid more for the add-ons. That really frustrated me. Also a bunch of the wood is not sanded well and gives splinters. We decided not to use this and just take the loss

mostly nice
welp officially the hardestbed to put together… When put together it’s lovely and my son thinks it’s cool so yey but I will say the lack of spoken or written specific instructions makes it nearly impossible to put together and the only reason i would not recommend my mom friends to purchase this bed.

400 is ridiculous
If you put in the 30 minutes of effort to draw out a blueprint, this would cost you like maybe 60 dollars maybe 100
